I gave a lecture on metaphor and synesthesia before each performance of “Sound and Colour,” a concert of 24 Scriabin preludes, Op. 11 by Art of Time Ensemble. The Toronto concert featured an immersive color–field experience crafted by lighting designer Kevin Lamotte corresponding to Scriabin’s synesthetic color–music correlations. What an honor!
